Liyuwork Dana
Liyuwork Dana is developing an index to map the location and extent of food insecurity among Australian households and identifying ways to improve assistance to these households.

Liyuwork Dana is investigating the social vulnerability factors associated with food insecurity in children and developing a new index called child-focused food stress and social vulnerability index (CFSI) to capture the risk, extent, and geographic distribution of childhood food insecurity in an Australian jurisdiction. Food insecurity has risen sharply in Australia as a result of natural and health disasters, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Food insecurity in children is somewhat a hidden problem in Australia and this new index will be used to guide the targeting of public health interventions and policies to support this important population sub-group.
