Dr Shimul Nath
During my Forrest Foundation Prospect Fellowship, I've encountered extraordinary opportunities that have facilitated my development as a researcher, strengthened my professional network, and involved me in numerous intriguing collaborative projects. This fellowship also supported my transition from memristor to photodetector research, leading to the exploration of a new avenue: photomemristors - with significant potential for emerging applications. Moreover, it provided the chance to connect with emerging leaders, drawing inspiration from their impressive contributions to the field.

Dr Shimul Kanti Nath is currently working as a post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronic Materials Engineering of The Australian National University in July 2021 and then worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at The University of Western Australia. He was one of the winners of the Forrest Prospect Fellowship awarded by the Forrest Research Foundation in 2021.

Dr Nath has extensive research experiences and expertise in photodetectors and oxide-based memristors, and currently exploring their potential for emerging technologies, including next-generation remote sensing and brain-inspired computing. His scholarly contributions include authoring and co-authoring over 26 research articles in prestigious scientific journals, along with presenting his findings at leading national and international conferences.
