Ana’s research focuses on the analysis of human and animal interactions in the rock art from the Kimberley Region of Western Australia, with a special emphasis on scenes where human and animals are engaged with each other (e.g. dancing and hunting). Her study explores the contribution of animals to human identity. In December 2017, Ana was awarded a Research Travel Grant from the Kimberley Society to conduct a detailed rock art recording trip to Planigale Creek.
