Forrest Fellows will provide up to 1 day per week to advance the general mission of the Forrest Research Foundation including providing mentoring, ambassadorial and leadership to Forrest Scholars, Forrest Hall and the Forrest Research Foundation. Appointments at Level B will be considered if supported by the employing university.
To be eligible to take up a Forrest Research Foundation Fellowship an awardee must –
a) have been offered and accepted an employment contract at a Western Australian university. The Forrest Foundation will liaise with the nominated university to issue the employment contract to successful fellowship applicants.
b) have received their PhD conferral before commencing their appointment.
c) take up the Forrest Fellowship and commence employment at the relevant university within 12 months of being awarded the Fellowship.
d) agree to reporting their progress to the Forrest Research Foundation Director each year.
Researchers from all disciplines are eligible to apply.
The Forrest Research Foundation follows ARC guidelines on career interruptions. Please attach a brief statement to your application with details of, reason for and duration of career interruptions.

Fellowships are available at all 5 Western Australian universities.
Before applying, applicants must contact the research group/department where they wish to conduct their post-doctoral research and receive direct confirmation that their work will be mentored by a senior member of academic staff, and that the research group/department will provide all necessary research support. The Foundation will contact the proposed academic mentor of shortlisted applicants to request formal confirmation of their support. Applicants do not need to submit a letter of support with their application.
